Kill Me Tomorrow Skin's Getting Weird
KILL ME TOMORROW are back with an all-new EP of their propulsive, percussive now-wave. Recorded in San Diego with Pall Jenkins of THE BLACKHEART PROCESSION at the helm, Skin's Getting Weird picks up right where "I Require Chocolate" [GSL63] single left off. Instantly-recognizable vocalist and standing drummer Zack Wentz wields a soft, almost unbearably relaxed voice reminiscent of the SWANS' Michael Gira, but from the neck down he has more in common with the likes of Keith Moon; bassist/vocalist K8 Wince wrings the eeriest of basslines from a Rickenbacker this side of Movement-era NEW ORDER [not to mention illustrating the band's sleeves and merchandise with their trademark mascots of distorted nursery-rhyme psychosis]; meanwhile, guitarist Dan Wise's effected 6-string melodies rain down like a fountain of sparks, not unlike Daniel Ash or Thurston Moore or... The hell with it. Comparisons don't do them justice. They were hand-picked by NYC's LIARS to support their upcoming tour, and they do a SUICIDE cover.
